Cotton-Silk blends bring together the best of two cherished natural fibers: the breathable softness of pure cotton and the luxurious sheen and fluidity of genuine silk. Historically valued across ancient China and India, silk has symbolized refinement for millennia, while cotton, prized for its strength and comfort, has clothed civilizations from Egypt’s Nile Valley to India’s Indus River.

Our cotton–silk fabrics are woven in artisan workshops across northern India and Rajasthan, regions known for their rich traditions of craftsmanship. The blend is prized for its softness, subtle sheen, and light feel—creating garments at XNIIO that bring together everyday comfort with a sense of effortless elegance.

Cotton-silk blends are often woven in a satin structure, highlighting silk’s natural sheen while keeping cotton’s soft matte finish. In satin weave, weft threads float over several warp threads, producing a smooth, lustrous surface. The technique requires precision: too much silk makes the fabric fragile, while too much cotton diminishes its glow. The result is a fabric with fluidity, elegance, and understated luxury—perfect for timeless pieces.

  • Washing

    • Hand-wash gently or machine-wash on a delicate cycle at 30 °C (86 °F).
